Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. A singularity of this land is the region called “KUTTANAD” – a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Kumarakom: Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, southern India. It’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Nearby, the Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculptures. Thekkady: Thekkady is the location of the Periyar National Park, which is an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India. Dinner and overnight stay in Thekkady.
Local sightseeing in and around Thekkady - Thekkady is one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves, the Periyar wild life sanctuary spread across 777 Sq. KM. of which 360 Sq. KM is thick ever green forest. The Periyar wild life sanctuary was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1978 noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty. Optional activities – Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done on an extra cost. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Thekkady – Munnar
After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Munnar. On arrival check into Hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing in and around Munnar - Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. 1600 Meter above sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. Sprawling Tea Plantation picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facility makes this a popular town. Local sightseeing of Munnar - visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were you can visit the rarest species known as "Nilgiri Tars". Dinner & overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Kovalam. In Kovalam check in to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast check out from hotel & proceed for Kovalam city tour. After the tour you will be transfer to the Trivandrum airport to catch the flight.
