Day 1

 Irkutsk - Olkhon Island 

Upon arrival at Irkutsk International airport complete your custom immigration formalities meet & greet by local then taken to Olkhon Island, one of Russia’s most venerated Buddhist places. The road to Olkhon takes around 7 hours. Have lunch on your way; check in your hotel in in Olkhon island, In the evening proceed for tour of the Olkhon island with a local tour guide. Also scheduled is a tour of Cape Burkhan, the pearl of the lake, whose pristine nature amazes. Overnight at hotel in Olkhon island.

Day 2

Olkhon Island – Listvyanka – Lake Baikal tour 

Breakfast at hotel check out then transfer to Irkutsk. During the guided tour around the city of Irkutsk you will gain some knowledge about the history of this beautiful city. Stroll the main streets of the city and observe the unique architecture of the local houses that are made of wood and stone. You will be also leaded to the Old Town and some churches, such as Kazan Church. Overnight at hotel in Irkutsk

Day 3

Irkutsk 

After breakfast, visit to the Raising of the Cross Church is planned, then transfer to Listvyanka. During your visit to Listvyanka you will tour Talsti Museum, providing insight into the ethnographic and architectural picture of the region, and giving a hint of the Mongol and Slavic lifestyles. Also on the program are Baikal Museum, focusing on the flora and fauna of the unique lake and its surroundings, and the observation deck offering a stunning view of the adjacent pine forests and the often placid blue waters of the lake with its hilly surroundings. After the visit to Listvyanka, Return back to Irkutsk for dinner and a check-in to your hotel.

Day 4

Irkutsk 

After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Train Station to Ulan Bator. Pick up from Station. Gandan Monastery: The monastery is ongolia’s main monastery and Buddhist center of Mongolia is located here, with 26m tall gold-plated statue of Avalokiteshvara in the main temple. Chinggis Square: This is the heart of Ulaanbaatar, surrounded by Parliament house, the Stock Exchange and Chinggis Khaan statue. National History Museum: The museum introduces Mongolia’s history from ancient times up to the present time. The most popular exhibits are the hall with the artifacts from the Great Mongol Empire era and traditional costumes of ethnic groups of Mongolia. Lunch /Mongolian Cuisine/Zaisan Memorial: This landmark, high above the city, offers a wonderful view of Ulaanbaatar and its surrounding landscape. Zaisan Memorial is dedicated to Soviet-Mongolian friendship, Soviet Red Army and WWII heroes. Buddha Park: Park has been built in 2006, is located at the base of Zaisan Memorial. 16m tall Shakyamuni stands in center of the park.

Day 5

 Middle Gobi/ Baga Gazriin Chuluu 

Early morning, begin your journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a unique formation of rocks. Visit ruins of an ancient temple and explore the area. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp near. 

Day 6

Middle Gobi/ Tsagaan Suvarga 

After breakfast visit the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Continue driving to Tsagaan Suvarga, a fascinating white limestone cliff which resembles a Stupa. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.      

Day 7

South Gobi / Yol Valley 

Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties Mou ntain range of the Gobi National Park. Spend the day on an excursion to Yol Valley, hiking and enjoying stunning photographic opportunities. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.

DAY 8

 South Gobi / Khongor Sand Dunes 

After breakfast drive to Khongor Sand Dunes known as the Singing Dunes. A climb up to the sand dunes will be rewarded with breathtaking views. In the evening observe a spectacular sunset, please prepare your cameras. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.  

DAY 9

South Gobi / Bayanzag 

Drive to the world-famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), rich in saxaul trees of Gobi. Explore the site of the first paleontological discoveries in Mongolia by following the footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews (January 26, 1884 – March 11, 1960), an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist. Visit a nomadic camel breeding family and experience the hospitality of Mongolian nomads. Enjoy a short camel ride. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a ger camp.

DAY 10

Middle Gobi / Ongi Monastery

After breakfast drive north. Visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery, visit a local restored temple and have a walk in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.

DAY 11

Karakorum / Erdene-Zuu Monastery 

After breakfast drive to Karakorum, once the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and the largest monastery in Mongolia built on the ruins of the ancient capital. Tour the monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings and statues dating back to the 17th century. Visit the Karakorum museum. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.

Day 12

Hustain Nuruu National Park

After breakfast drive to Hustain Nuruu National Park. Drive deep into the National Park in search of Przewalski horses (takhi), ancestor of all modern-day horses in the world. If you have binoculars, please bring them. View a short documentary and visit the museum. Overnight stay in a local family.

Day 13

Ulaanbaatar 

Breakfast at the camp and Drive to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel.
